PTA

What is the PTA?
The Horsell Schools’ Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a joint association for The Horsell Village School and Horsell Church of England Junior School, raising funds to provide extra facilities and equipment for the children of both schools. As parents of children in either school you automatically become members.

We are a registered charity [1094182]

Each class has a class representative that facilitates information between the PTA and parents/carers.

What do we hope to achieve?

Last year (2023-24) we raised almost £25,000 to help fund the purchase of a wellbeing pod for the infant school and additional chromebooks, electric keyboard, play equipment and more for the Junior School. The schools would not be able to provide these with only the Local Education Authority’s funding.

This year, we hope to match this and help continue to fund educational enhancements for both schools.

Who are the PTA?

The PTA is managed by a committee which consists of three 3 Officers (Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) and ordinary committee members (no specific numbers).

Chair    Sima Huddy
Treasurer Emma Machin
Secretary Jennifer Dutfield

If you would like to know more about getting involved or volunteering in capacity, we have many non-committee members roles, then please email horsellschoolspta@gmail.com
