It is important that all children are fluent in times tables. It is a requirement for all children when they reach the end of Year 4 to sit a computerised and timed times table assessment. The breakdown below shows what times tables children should know at the end of each year.

Year 2- 2, 5, 10

Year 3- retain the above and know 3, 4, 8

Year 4- recall all times table facts up to 12x12

At Horsell Junior, we recognise the importance of times tables and children practise time table facts every day at the start of their maths lesson.   Times table practice is also set as part of children's homework.
