SEND Team

At Horsell Junior School we have a team of staff aimed at supporting our inclusive practice and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) throughout our school, overseen by our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, Safeguarding and SENCO.

SENCO

The SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) is our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, Mr Stevenson. He is responsible for policy and provision across the school for children with SEND.

Mr Stevenson will be holding 'SEND Surgeries' for parents on Tuesday mornings throughout the year.  This is an opportunity for parents to speak with him about provision or concerns. Should you wish to book a meeting regarding your child, please contact the office who will be able to book the session with you. It is advised that parents speak with their child's class teacher in the first instance, as they are in the best position to discuss the day-to-day needs of each child.

Mr Stevenson can be contacted by email on: inclusion@horsell-junior.surrey.sch.uk

SEND Surgery bookings should be made via the school office.

Inclusion Teacher

Apple classroom is run by Mrs Webb, our Inclusion teacher. She has a wealth of experience, and is overseeing the provision in Apple class, supported by a team of teaching assistants.

At Horsell Junior School we want to ensure that all children are supported to thrive, and Apple's provision supports that.

SEND is supported by all at Horsell Junior School. The teaching staff, including the teaching assistants, work hard to create inclusive classrooms and have high expectations for all.
