Last week Year 3 celebrated what they had learnt about the Romans by presenting some of the knowledge they had acquired in and out of school. The children dressed ready for battle or feasting in armour or togas! This was supported by presenting some fantastic work which you can see in our pictures. Our work on Italy has been presented inside pizza boxes with the children’s own topographical map of Italy and their Italian research homework. You can also see some of their fantastic Roman soldier collages and Roman toothpaste posters following a practical making and testing of Roman toothpaste! They demonstrated how to put on a Roman soldier’s uniform using imperative verbs linked to English. The children spoke confidently about what they had learnt and enjoyed in an entertaining way. Parents then joined us for a Roman Feast.
A huge thank you to the parents who were able to support this venture by donating Roman food or their time helping to serve it up and listen to the children’s presentations. Please visit our Photo Gallery for pictures.
