RSE Meeting, 9th February at 15:30

As a part of your child’s educational experience at Horsell C of E Junior School, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) that gives children the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, now and in the future. During the second half of the spring term (after half term), your child’s class will be taking part in lessons which will focus on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE).

RSE is taught in every year group and is monitored and reviewed by the staff and governing body. We are continuing to use a scheme called KAPOW and this unit is entitled Safety and the Changing Body. All teaching will take place in a safe learning environment and be underpinned by our school ethos and values. A variety of opportunities will be provided for pupils to ask questions in a safe and confidential way.

Following our meeting on 21st January, Mrs Webb will be holding another meeting for parents who were not able to attend, but who wish to watch the videos that we share with the children in school and ask further questions.

Please let us know in advance if you will be attending by completing the below, online form. Please note this meeting is not suitable for children to attend.

Please let us know which years your children are in (please select all that apply):
