Vision and ethos

Horsell C of E Junior School is a voluntary aided Church of England school in the Diocese of Guildford.

Our Vision

At Horsell C of E Junior  School we believe we are all 'made in the image of God'.*

Through a commitment to Christian values and high academic aspirations, we strive to provide a rich and inclusive education for every member of our school family.

We are 'made in the image of God.'

We believe that everyone - pupils, governors, parents and staff - has equal value in the eyes of God. As a Christian school we are 'servant-hearted' in all that we do.

We demonstrate 'Christian values.' Our values are the glue that bind us together and make the vision come alive.  They make our school, 'our school.'  We aim for our values to be known and understood by all members of our school community.
We have 'high academic aspirations'.  We are passionate about our drive for academic excellence for all because we know that academic success opens doors to a brighter future.
We provide a 'rich...education'. We believe that we all have unique, 'God given' gifts that must be nurtured in a broad and exciting curriculum.
We are 'inclusive'. High quality education is a right for all, no matter where you come from or who you are.
We are 'family'

As members of a family, we care for one another. We have a strong emphasis on consideration for others, respectful behaviour and good manners.
